Friday Focus: The Love and Respect Experience
September 14, 2012 ~ 0 comments

The Love and Respect Experience by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs is designed to be a 52 week devotional series for couples. Although this book could be read quickly, there is great benefit in methodically working through it. Each chapter ends with a prayer and suggested action step specific to the current topic.

Personally I have never been a big fan of Eggerichs' book titled Love and Respect. His content was great but his slow, repetitive, laborious delivery always made me glad to stop reading. It is pretty sad when the most often heard response to his book is: “The book is horrible to read, just get the video series.” I am so glad that the Love and Respect Experience devotional is a far better experience. It is easy to read and enjoyable to work on together with your spouse. It is clear, concise, and to the point. In short, it is all the great things that Love and Respect never was while keeping all the great principles that Love and Respect sought to promote and teach.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com <http://BookSneeze.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255 [...] : "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."
